Getting started with the Cozi Mobile Calendar

Manage your family calendar from a central location, and quickly set reminders so no one misses an important event. From your Cozi Mobile Calendar you can add, edit, or delete non-repeating appointments when there’s no Internet connection.

To access the Cozi Mobile Calendar, select Upcoming Events from Cozi Today, or select Calendar from the navigation menu. If you are using a tablet device, the navigation menu is always visible in landscape mode.

Creating a new appointment

There are two ways to create a new appointment from the calendar screen: select the + button on the right side of the navigation bar, or select the day/date heading.

Editing an appointment

Select the appointment you want to edit from the Calendar and then select the edit button in the upper right corner of View appointment to begin editing.

Adding or editing appointment details

An appointment must have a description (What) and a Date, but you can also update more details from the New or Edit appointment screens, like setting a location (Where) and adding Notes. Here are some important things to know about additional appointment details:

Who: Cozi assumes the appointment is for everyone in your family unless you specify one or more names. Appointments for everyone appear on the calendar as “All”.
Repeats: If the appointment happens more than once, you can specify how often it repeats. To specify a repeating appointment, select Repeats, select the Repeat checkbox, and then choose from the repeat options displayed. An appointment created on a different device might use repeat options that are not available in the Android mobile app. If this happens, you can keep the existing repeat option for the appointment, or you can change it to one of the options available on your device. For repeating appointments, you can make changes to all future appointments in the series by selecting Save going forward. If you only want to change one appointment in the series, select Save this day only.
Time: A default time is displayed for new appointments. To edit an appointment time, select the date and time and then specify new From and To times. For all day appointments, select the All day checkbox. If the appointment is currently All Day but you want to specify a time, clear the All day check box to choose From and To times.
Notify: A notification can be sent to family members when adding, changing or deleting an appointment in a Cozi Gold account. For more information, see Cozi Calendar Change Notifications (Android).
Reminder: Cozi does not automatically turn on reminders for appointments. To set or cancel reminders, edit the appointment and then select Reminders. You can specify up to three reminders to be sent to attendees. To cancel a reminder, clear the check box next to it. See Cozi Device Notifications and Reminders (Android) for more information.

Deleting an appointment

You can delete an appointment from the View appointment or Edit appointment screen by selecting the delete icon in the upper right corner. If the appointment you want to delete is a repeating appointment, select Delete this day only or Delete going forward. (Delete going forward will remove all future occurrences of that appointment.)

Understanding why some appointments appear bold

Bold appointments indicate changes to your family’s routine:

One-time appointments
Exceptions to routine appointments
Monthly appointments that happen on a fixed day of the month (such as the 15th of every month) rather than a fixed day (the third Thursday of every month)
Recurring appointments that happen less often than monthly (such as every 5th Wednesday)
