Getting started with shopping lists

Cozi lets your family add items to your shopping lists from any computer—and retrieve shopping lists through your mobile phone while you're in the store.

From your Cozi home page, clicking anywhere in the Shopping List area will bring you to the Shopping List page.

Here you can add to, delete, and manage your lists. You can also search for recipes online.

Adding items to a list

To add an item, pick a list, type an item, and then press Enter.

Crossing items off a list

When you return from a shopping trip, you can cross items off your list:

Crossing off individual items. If you only purchased a few items, you can cross them off by clicking just to the left of the item. You'll see a check mark appear next to the item, as well as a line running through the item.
Crossing off and removing everything on a list. If you bought all of the items on your list, click Remove at the bottom of the list, and then click Clear everything off this list.

You can also use the following keyboard shortcuts to cross off and delete items.

Select an item, and then press DELETE.

Scroll up and down the list one item at a time
Press UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW.

Use the mouse wheel.

Printing

When you're ready to go to the store, you can quickly print any list by clicking the Print button at the bottom of the page.

Retrieving lists with your mobile phone

You can also use your phone to request that any shopping list be sent to you while you're out and about. See Mobile access overview.

Creating, renaming, and deleting lists

You can create new lists, change their names, and delete entire lists.

To create new lists:

Cozi starts out with an initial set of shopping lists that many families find useful. You can add new ones by clicking the New List button. (If you don’t see the New List button, click the More Lists menu.)

To rename lists:

Click the list's name (say, "Wholesale"), and then type a new name.

To delete an entire list:

Click Remove, and then click Permanently delete this list.
