Quesadilla Burger

Add bacon to take this cheeseburger creation to the next level

Ingredients

1 lb Ground beef

8 medium size Flour tortillas

2 cups Cheddar cheese (shredded)

1 medium Onion (diced)

2 cloves Garlic (minced)

2 tbsp Ketchup

1 tbsp Mustard

1/4 cup Pickles (sliced, optional)

1/2 tsp Black pepper

2 tbsp Olive oil

For garnish: Lettuce, tomato, sour cream (optional)

Directions

Cook the Beef

Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and garlic, cooking until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula, and cook until browned, about 7-8 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, ketchup, and mustard. Stir to combine, then remove from heat.

Assemble the Quesadillas

Lay a tortilla flat on a surface and sprinkle some shredded cheese over half of the tortilla. Add a layer of the cooked ground beef mixture, followed by a few pickle slices (if desired), and top with more cheese. Fold the tortilla in half to create a quesadilla.

Cook the Quesadillas

Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place the quesadilla in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.

Serve

Slice each quesadilla into wedges and serve hot. Garnish with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and sour cream on the side, if desired.
