Cozi lets your family add items to your shopping lists from any of your computers — and retrieve shopping lists through your mobile phone while you’re in the store.

From your Cozi Home page, clicking anywhere in the Shopping List area will bring you to the Shopping List page.

Here you can add to, delete, and manage your lists. You can also search for recipes online.

To add an item, pick a list, type an item, and then press Enter.

Cozi remembers the items that you’ve previously entered. This shopping history appears on the right side of the list in the Recent column. Click an item under Recent to add it to your current list. Or, when you start typing the item into a list again, you’ll see Cozi automatically complete the item for you.

If you’re in Cozi, you can instantly find recipes online and paste their ingredients into your list. (Available only in Cozi PC.)

1. On the shopping list page, type the recipe title or ingredients in the Search box, and then click the magnifying glass.
2. Choose a recipe from the choices offered online.
3. Use your Web browser’s Copy feature to copy the list of ingredients.
4. Then, go back to the shopping list page and click Paste from Web.
5. Double-check or edit the list of ingredients, and then click Add Above Items to List.

Paste from Web will work from any online recipe site, so whenever you see a recipe you like online, just follow Steps 3 through 5 above.

Many people use the Shopping List feature to create lists of all kinds. No matter what you’re using the lists for, it’s helpful to be able to organize the items how you want. Use the keyboard shortcuts below to reorder the items in your list, and quickly delete or move items.

Whenever you return from a shopping trip, you can cross items off your list:

• Crossing off individual items. If you only purchased a few items, you can cross them off by clicking just to the left of the item. You’ll see a check mark appear next to the item, as well as a line running through the item.
• Crossing off everything on a list. If you bought all (or almost all) of the items on your list, click Cross Off at the bottom of the list, and then click any items you forgot to buy or couldn’t find (clicking them puts them “back” on the list).

To clear the crossed-off items, click Remove Crossed Items at the bottom of the list.

You can also use keyboard shortcuts to cross off and delete items.

When you’re ready to go to the store, you can quickly print out any list by clicking the print button at the bottom of the page.

You can also use your phone to request any shopping list be sent to you while you’re out and about. See Mobile Access.

You can create new lists, change their names, change the order in which they appear (and choose which one appears on your Home page), and delete entire lists.

To create new lists:

• Cozi starts out with an initial set of shopping lists that many families find useful. You can add new ones by clicking the New List button.

To rename lists:

• Click the list’s name (say, “Wholesale”), and then type a new name.

To change the order of your lists:

• Right-click a shopping list at the top of the page, point to Move List, and then choose from the positions offered. The list that is first or at the “front” of the line is the list that will appear on the Home page. (Available only in Cozi PC.)

To delete an entire list:

• Click Cross Off, click Remove Crossed Items, and then click Delete List.
