Cozi requires access to the Internet, and it will not work properly if it is blocked by a firewall program. Most firewall programs give you the option to unblock specific programs such as Cozi. Adjusting your McAfee Security Settings

to download Cozi

Depending on your personal settings in McAfee, you may receive a download error stating that your machine was “Unable to download Cozi.” In this scenario, you need to go into your McAfee settings and manually grant access to Cozi’s application download.

To allow Cozi’s download, click “OK” on the error window (example above), and then open your McAfee Security Center. You can usually access the Security Center via a shortcut on your desktop or by going to your Start Menu, selecting All Programs, and then choosing McAfee from the list of Programs.

From the McAfee Security Center, select Internet & Network.

Then click Configure.

On the Internet & Network Configuration page, click Advanced.

Click Program Permissions in Firewall menu on the left.

On the next page, you will see a list of all programs that have been granted full access or have been blocked by your McAfee security settings.

In order for your Cozi download to complete, you should set Full Access permissions for Cozi Setup Downloader. Highlight the program name, and then go to the Action menu to select Grant Full Access. Click OK.

PLEASE NOTE: You may need to return to your McAfee security settings later in the Cozi setup process to grant Full Access permissions to:

• Cozi Application
• Coziupdatemamanger.exe

Once you’ve granted full access to the Cozi Setup Downloader, you can restart the download process, and you’re on your way to using Cozi!

Signaling McAfee to set up Cozi

Sometimes, McAfee will allow you to download the setup file, but your McAfee security settings will prevent the actual install of the program on your PC.

If this is the case, McAfee will notify you with a desktop pop-up such as the following:

Click Grant Access, and then click OK, so that your Cozi setup can continue. You may need to close and restart the Cozi Setup file that was saved to your desktop when you downloaded.
