We would love to hear from all the dads who use Cozi to help manage the family. This is a short survey (only 11 questions) so it takes less than 5 minutes to complete.

On June 5th, Cozi will set a Guiness World Record, lining up more than A MILE of (rubber) ducks in a row. Each duck we add to our row will be inspired by you, our families who use Cozi every day to get their ducks in a row.
- Every time you write a to do list in Cozi, you're getting another one of your ducks in a row.
- Every time you add a soccer game or family vacation plans to Cozi, you're getting more of your ducks in a row.
- Every time you check your calendar on the run from your mobile phone, you're keeping your ducks in a row.
With all these ducks being lined up by Cozi families all around the world, it's no wonder that we felt inspired to go for this record!
We're also lucky enough to have some special guests joining us to celebrate this fun event. A team from the FlyLady will be there to help set this record, and to meet Cozi families who come out on the big day.
If you're in the Seattle area, please join us at Magnuson Park! Rain or shine, we'll be getting our ducks in a row from 11 AM to 3:00 PM, with the World record ceremony planned for 1:00 PM on Kite Hill.
Thanks to all our Cozi familes who keep their ducks in a row with Cozi!

Many Cozi families have asked us for a way to export their Cozi calendar to other types of calendars, or to other Cozi accounts. We’ve heard you, and have now added this feature to Cozi!
Maybe you want to share a read-only version of your child’s Cozi calendar with an ex-spouse, or maybe you want to share part of your calendar with a child care provider or the grandparents. Whatever your reason, it’s now possible to share your calendar this way.
Sharing the calendar creates a unique URL for one family member, or for all family members. You can send this URL to someone else to be imported into another calendar application, such as Google calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Apple iCal, or another Cozi account.
Here are some important details:
When you update appointments in Cozi, the people you’re sharing with will automatically see the changes. (Depending on which calendar they’re using, it could take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours for the changes to appear.)
People you share with will see the appointments as read-only, in other words, they will not be able to edit the appointments.
You can turn sharing off at any time. If you do, no appointments from Cozi will remain visible in the other calendar. You could always share with the same person in the future by starting the process from the beginning.
Here’s how to share your calendar:
- Sign into your Cozi account, and click on Calendar
- Select the “Set up” option from the top menu on the calendar page
- Click on “Share appointments"
- On the Sharing page, click on “Not shared” next to the family member whose calendar you’d like to share. Two options pop up: "Not shared" and "Shared". Select "Shared."
- You can select an individual family member or "All" family members for this feature. (If you want to share feeds for multiple children, you’d need to select each child individually and create separate feeds for each.)
- Choose "Send URL" to send an email to the person you want to share your calendar with. The email will contain the URL and instructions for importing your Cozi calendar. (You can also view the URL at anytime and copy/paste to send again, etc.)
That’s it! We hope this new feature will be helpful to many families. Please let us know how it works for you!

We’ve already shared some tips on taking full advantage of Cozi to do lists, like adding to do list items to your calendar and using the starter lists and planning checklists from Cozi’s List Library.
Here are few more tips for getting things done with Cozi to do lists:
Basics
- As soon as you remember something you need to do, but can’t accomplish right away, add it to your master to do list. Bonus: Use the Cozi app on your mobile phone to jot down a task whenever and wherever you think of it.
Prioritize
- Overwhelmed by a long list of to dos that never seems to end? Prioritize your list with time-based headings. One idea: create TODAY, THIS WEEK, and LATER headings within your master list. (Remember that if you enter a list item in all caps, it will appear as a heading in your list.) Then drag and drop your to do items under the right heading. Now your list isn’t so daunting.
- Spend time at the beginning of each day or once a week to re-prioritize the list and select which tasks to tackle that day. What works for you? One? Two? Five?
Remind
- Add a date to a to do list item and it will magically appear on your calendar as an extra reminder. For example, if you need to sign up for swimming lessons on a specific day or else your child won’t get a spot, add “Sign up for swim lessons 6/6” and the item will show up on that calendar day!
- Send the entire list to your phone. Or, send it to a family member to get it done ;).
- If your kids like using Cozi (smart kids!), create morning routine and bedtime routine lists or a chore list. Let Cozi remind them to brush their teeth and make their bed.
More ways to use to do lists
- Forgot to renew your driver’s license this year? Waited too long to schedule your kids’ physicals to be beat the summer rush? For those appointments that don’t occur on a specific date each year (and therefore aren’t on your calendar), but need to happen in a specific month each year, create a to do list with category headings (all caps, remember?) for each month, i.e., JANUARY, FEBRUARY, MARCH, etc.
- Don’t limit your use to only things you need to do. Cozi lists are great for packing lists (no more getting to the hotel and realizing your forgot your swimsuit and sunglasses), resolutions (sorry, you won’t be able to use the excuse of forgetting what they were come April), books you’d like to read, ideas for your upcoming remodel, and more!
How do you use Cozi to do lists to get things done?

Weekly agenda emails from Cozi are a great way to get your family on track for the week ahead. You can arrange for everyone in your account to receive one each week.
By popular demand, we have now added a way for you to send updates to your family as your schedule changes during the week. Maybe a rained out game has now been rescheduled for Thursday afternoon, or the family’s been invited to a barbeque on Friday night. Just make your schedule changes in Cozi, and send out new agenda emails to anyone or everyone in your family.
Here's how:
- Sign into your account and click on Settings on the left side of your homepage.
- From there, click on Email notifications.
- Click on the 'Send update' link beside the person to whom you'd like to send the update.
- Add a message, or just send the agenda with the default message.
That's it!
The updated agendas will show all the week’s appointments in your family calendar, with past appointments grayed out for reference, and upcoming appointments in dark print. The new agenda will be labeled as an update to avoid confusion with earlier versions of the schedule. Plus, you can now send a message along with the agenda email to explain any changes to the person receiving it.

What's the biggest drag about meal planning? You got it, finding new ideas!
So you check out new recipes on the internet, bookmark them, but often forget to go back and make them, right?! Well, we've got just the fix:
For Firefox and Chrome browsers:
- Drag the blue link below (that says "Add to Cozi Calendar") to your browser's toolbar. (This means the little section at the top near your URL bar.) Add to Cozi Calendar
- It will place a little icon on your toolbar that says "Add to Cozi Calendar"
- For Chrome browsers, you may need go to Tools and select "Always show bookmarks bar" before you drag the link to your toolbar.
For Internet Explorer browsers:
- Right click on the blue link: Add to Cozi Calendar
- Choose “Add to Favorites”
- If you get a security warning, say Yes. Don’t worry, we won’t introduce any malicious software
- In the Add a Favorite dialog, choose Favorites Bar in the “Create In” field Now it’s on the Favorites list.
Now you can navigate to a recipe page - any recipe page. Once you find a recipe you like, click on the icon or item in your favorites list, "Add to Cozi Calendar/Add to Calendar" and it will pull up your Cozi calendar and let you pick a date to add that recipe name and link info.
Sweet!
Try it right now.
Here's the link to drag (don't click, just drag) one more time.
Please come back and tell us how it worked out!
