Chief Executive Officer and President

Robbie Cape Robbie brings 15 years of experience designing software, building teams, and managing software businesses. The last 12 years were spent at Microsoft. In his most recent experience at Microsoft, Robbie grew a new business to add annuity software service value to the Software Assurance subscription program. The majority of Robbie’s experience is in the role of program manager, product unit manager, and general manager of the Microsoft Money business. Robbie ushered the Money business to profitability with revenues of more than $65 million, and put Microsoft Money on the map as a formidable competitor to Intuit’s Quicken. Robbie has a deep love for building businesses, products, and teams that build high quality, simple software consistently and on time. Robbie holds a B.A. in Science and Engineering from Princeton University. He lives in the suburbs of Seattle with his wife Bonnie and their three children Benjamin, Noah, and Dalia.


Jan Miksovsky
Chief Product Officer

Jan Miksovsky Jan has designed software user experiences for nearly 20 years. Jan was a program manager at Microsoft on the company’s early electronic mail products. Jan led the design of the Microsoft Money line of products for five years, including the creation of an innovative design style called inductive user interface design. His designs and guidance directly contributed to Microsoft Money’s marketing successes during that time. More recently Jan was the user experience architect for Microsoft Windows Vista. Jan’s interest and expertise span the range of software development activities from conception to implementation. He is the author of flow|state, a blog on user interface design. Jan holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Cornell University. Jan and his wife Angela have three daughters — Anya, Liya and Sabriya.


Leslie Deitz Kaplan
Chief Financial Officer

Leslie Deitz KaplanLeslie has more than 20 years of experience working with start-ups in various finance and operations roles. She joined Cozi after a brief hiatus to spend time with her young daughter Sydney, who is now a successful second grader. Most recently, Leslie was Chief Financial Officer and COO for biotech startup Primal, Inc. Prior to that, she held the positions of Director of Finance, Treasurer, and Director of Investor Relations at Visio, Inc., as well as Director of Finance and Treasurer at ICOS Corp., where she built the finance and administrative departments. Leslie has also held various finance assignments at Bristol-Myers Squibb, as well as the position of Manager of Financial Analysis at Genetic Systems, Inc. Leslie received a B.A. from the University of Maryland and an MBA with an emphasis in finance from Cornell University. Leslie happily resides in Seattle with her husband and daughter.


Carl Weinstein
Chief Marketing Officer

Carl WeinsteinCarl brings nearly 20 years of award winning marketing and product strategy to Cozi. After beginning his career with Emmis Communications in New York, Carl joined the fledgling Seattle Mariners Baseball Club in the early ‘90s. As the youngest director in Major League Baseball at the time, Carl’s marketing efforts helped to transform the Mariners into one of MLB’s most effective marketing models setting both team and league attendance records and winning a National Gold Effie. Carl returned to his media roots as Director of Programming, Operations and Marketing for New Century Media (now part of Clear Channel Communications) during which time the Seattle based radio group achieved its highest consolidated ratings and revenue in group history. In ‘99, Carl combined his media, sports and entertainment background with a love of technology to create a revolutionary new media model and founded Onecast Media, Inc. Under his direction, the company’s groundbreaking online service, Seasonticket.com, offered the first personalized on-demand sports highlight service for the broadband era. The service was recognized as a visionary business model for delivering highly personalized, rich media content, winning 3 New Media Envision Awards in ‘00. Most recently, as Chief Marketing Officer for Screenlife Games, Carl played a key role in helping to build the Scene It? DVD Game franchise into the #1 selling board game brand worldwide with distribution in 9 languages, over 20 countries and in more than 40k retail doors worldwide. Carl graduated from prestigious SI Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, but claims his best accomplishment to date is his 9 year old son, Cole.


Bill Baxter
Chief Technology Officer

Bill BaxterBill was most recently the founder and CEO of SnapTune, Inc. a privately-held corporation founded in 2005 that created a direct link from new songs heard on the radio to an online way to purchase the albums containing them. In 1994 he co-founded BSQUARE Corporation, a provider of world class hardware and software solutions for companies developing intelligent computing device systems. Bill extends his leadership role to the community as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the WSA and through guidance positions at other organizations and institutions including the University of Wyoming and the University of Washington. Bill is a recipient of the prestigious Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys family and recreation. Bill is an avid boater and he and his wife have two children.


Tim Tiscornia
Chief Business Development Officer

Tim TiscorniaTim brings a unique blend of 16 years of marketing and finance experience with a focus on the technology field for the last 12 years. He most recently joined from Microsoft where as a Group Product Manager he led the marketing launch to partners of Windows Vista. Prior to Microsoft he was the Vice President of Marketing at a Silicon Valley start-up, Mainstreet Networks, where he drove the product management, business development, and customer support teams. At Intel Corporation he drove operational finance and business analysis, most recently in Intel Architecture Labs assessing new technologies and business opportunities. Tim is a Beta Gamma Sigma graduate of the University of Washington MBA program with a marketing and finance emphasis and holds a bachelor of science degree with a major in accounting from Santa Clara University. Tim and his wife Jane have three daughters.
