18,103 Yellow Rubber Duckies Attempt Guinness World Record in Seattle, WA
Cozi helps families get their ducksand everything elsein a row
Seattle – May 19, 2011 – Cozi (www.cozi.com), the No. 1 online and mobile family calendar and organization service, is known for helping families get their ducks in a row, and now the company is putting its bills where its beak is. Cozi is attempting to set a Guinness World Record in Seattle on Sunday, June 5, by creating the world’s longest line of little yellow rubber ducks in Warren G. Magnuson Park (duckduckduck.cozi.com), all in an effort to help more families get their own ducks lined up.
Imagine 18,103 yellow rubber ducks stretching an entire mile through the park overlooking beautiful Lake Washington. To make it official, a certified Guinness World Record adjudicator will be waddling around on-site counting the ducks and certifying the record.
Too many families are playing duck, duck, goose with their schedules, said Cozi CEO Robbie Cape. We’re removing the geese from the equation and getting Cozi ducks in a row … literally. This is a cheerful expression of what families do every single day with Cozi. And we get to make ducky history in the process!
This historic achievement will be proclaimed at about 1 p.m. Pacific time on Kite Hill (in Magnuson Park), when the row measures precisely one mile and the official record is quacked out loud. The public is encouraged to attend the event and bring their own ducklings of all ages to witness rubber-duck history in the making. Rain or shinebut no down jackets, please!
