Cozi improvements  

Introduction

We work constantly to improve Cozi and make it easier to use, whether by adding features that families request, or by fixing problems that families report. For these reasons, it's always best to run the latest version of Cozi.

Cozi automatically updates your installation, but there are a few instances where this might not happen. This page will explain how to check which version you're running, automatically receive the latest version, and learn what improvements have been made.

Check your current version

 If you're using Cozi 2.0 and you want to check which version you have:

1. Look at the Cozi logo at the bottom of your Cozi family home page (or any page on Cozi).

2. If it says "Cozi 2.0," you are using Cozi 2.0!

 

If you are using Cozi Express or the Cozi Collage screensaver and you want to check which version you have:

1. Start Cozi Express.

2. Click the Cozi icon at the very top left hand corner of the window.

3. Choose Check for Updates... from the menu.

4. Cozi will check for a new version, you may continue to use Cozi Express while it's checking; this can take a little while if it finds a new update as it will download it for you.

5. Once it has completed it will alert you with a dialog, this dialog will either tell you that you are up-to-date or give you the option to install the latest version.

 

If you using the outlook Toolbar and you want to check which version you have:

1. Open Microsoft Outlook.

2. Click the Beta menu in the Cozi Outlook Toolbar, and then click Show Sync Log Window.

3. In the upper-right corner, you will see a version number. This number should be the same number as the latest version mentioned in the release notes.  

 

If you're using the Cozi PC 1.0 version and you want to check which version you have:

1. Run Cozi from the Windows Start menu.

2. On your Cozi Home page, find the More area, and then click Settings.

3. On the left-hand side of the settings page, you will see a version number. This number should be the same number as the latest version mentioned in the release notes. 

  

Get the latest version

Good news! With Cozi 2.0 and Cozi Mobile, you will be presented with the most up to date features each time you access your account.

With the Outlook Toolbar, Cozi Collage and Cozi 1.0 PC version, Cozi checks for updates once per day, and automatically updates itself if a new version is available. If you don't have the latest version, you can easily obtain it by closing Cozi, then restarting it. In the case of the Outlook Toolbar, close Microsoft Outlook and open it again.

If your firewall program asks whether or not to grant permission to Cozi, you should always say yes; otherwise, you may not be able to receive updates and Cozi may not function properly.
