The Cozi Party Planner is provided as a partnership with Punchbowl that offers families a modern, effortless way to plan parties from start to finish. Getting started with the Cozi Party Planner

To access the party planner, go to your Cozi Family Calendar, click Set up, and then click Plan a party.

You will need to create a new, free account with Punchbowl, a Cozi partner. To create a new account, click Sign Up at the top of the Cozi Party Planner page, and then fill in the form. Or, just start creating an event; you’ll receive a reminder to create an account before you send your event.

Note: You cannot sign in with your existing Cozi.com password. You must set up a new account for the Cozi Party Planner.

 

Starting a new event

From the Event Start page in the Cozi Party Planner, choose the type of event you want to set up:

  • Invitation: You know all the details and are ready to invite guests
  • Save the date: You have a date in mind but you don’t know the details yet
  • Vote on a date: You don’t know the best date for your event, and you’d like your guests to help you choose one

Then simply follow the prompts to set up additional details for your event.

 

Setting up and sending your event

After you have decided what type of event you want to create, you’ll be given a variety of choices and tools to work with, including:

  • Find a venue
  • Get guest input on the event date
  • Choose from hundreds of stunning designs
  • Customize invitations and envelopes
  • Organize a potluck
  • Share invitation with your social networks
  • Easily manage RSVPs
  • Options to include maps, monetary contribution, schedule reminders, and more

When you’re ready to send your event, you can preview it and even send yourself a test invitation. Then simply enter the email addresses of your guests and send your event. You can also quickly import all of your contacts from popular email programs, such as Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, and Hotmail.

You’ll then use the Manage Guests page to track RSVPs, view the message board, and send messages to guests. Add additional friends to the party using the Invite More Guests page. To track potluck contributions, go to the Potluck page.

You can also set up a personal event to do list before the event, and upload photos and videos after the event.

 

Adding your event to Cozi

Once you’ve created your event, you can quickly add it to your Cozi calendar:

1. From your Cozi Party Planner dashboard, locate your event.

2. Click Event Options, and then click Add to calendar.

3. Choose Cozi Calendar.

4. Your Cozi calendar appears with the event open in a new appointment window. Preview the event details, change attendees and other details as needed, and click Save.

If your guests have a Cozi account, they can add the event to their family calendars when they receive the invitation by clicking the Add to calendar button in the invitation and then choosing Cozi.

Note: At this time, you will need to manually set the time for the event in your Cozi calendar.

 

Upgrading Punchbowl

Like Cozi, the Cozi Party Planner is free to use. An upgrade option is available through Punchbowl for users who are interested in features such as an ad-free site and more extensive design options.
