Getting started

Cozi helps you remember appointments in several ways:

Read on to learn about setting up automatic reminders for appointments in Cozi.

Setting automatic reminders for appointments

To set an automatic reminder for an appointment:

1. Click the appointment to open it.
2. Make sure the attendees of the appointment are correct.
3. Select the Remind check box.
4. Text appears explaining who will receive the reminder. The reminder is set for 30 minutes before the appointment by default (6 hours for "All Day" appointments), but you can change this time by clicking the reminder time link.

Every family member associated with the appointment who has a phone number or email address in Cozi will receive the reminder at the time you specify. Family members not included on the appointment will not receive the reminder.

Family members who have a mobile phone number listed in your Cozi settings will receive the reminder via text message. Family members who only have an email address listed will receive the reminder via email message.

Make sure you've entered mobile phone numbers for each family member who will want to receive automatic text reminders (see "Telling Cozi about your family" in Getting started).

Canceling and changing automatic reminders

To cancel a reminder:

1. Click the appointment to open it.
2. Clear the Remind check box.

To change who receives a reminder:

1. Click the appointment to open it.
2. Modify the attendee selection. All selected attendees who have an activated phone number or email address in Cozi will receive the reminder.

Charges for text messages

Your mobile phone service provider may charge you for text messages. However, Cozi does not charge for any of its messaging services.

*Beta means that the feature is in the final stages of development and is ready for feedback from real-world users, like you!
